Air fryer fish fillets (fish & chips style) that WOW in 30 minutes

Crispy air fryer fish fillets served with chips for a classic meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 fish fillets (cod or haddock)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 large potatoes (for chips)
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut potatoes into thick strips and soak in water for 30 minutes.
  3. Drain potatoes and pat dry.
  4. Coat potatoes with olive oil spray and season with salt.
  5. Place potatoes in the air fryer and cook for 15 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  6. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with paprika and garlic powder.
  7. Dip each fish fillet in flour, then eggs, then breadcrumbs.
  8. Place fish fillets in the air fryer and spray with olive oil.
  9. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
  10. Serve fish fillets with chips and your favorite sauce.

Notes

  • Adjust cooking time based on fillet thickness.
  • Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  • Serve with tartar sauce or lemon wedges.
